The Tree Naturals textured-hair wash-day order
- Earth Mask: Lightly damp each section first. Keep a spray bottle handy so the hair stays damp, not soaking. Apply the Earth Mask through the scalp and hair in sections, allow it to harden for about 30 minutes, then rinse completely.
- Condition + detangle: Use the Conditioner Bar before shampoo to add slip and gently work through tangles, then rinse.
- Shampoo: Cleanse the scalp in sections with the Shampoo Bar, using your fingertips instead of your nails. Let the lather move through the lengths without piling or roughing the hair.
- Condition: On a regular wash day, use the Conditioner Bar again after shampoo. On a deep-treatment day, use the Bamboo & Lotus Water Deep Conditioner instead.
- Leave in moisture: Apply the Leave-In Conditioner to damp hair in sections before styling.
Straight hair note: Straight hair does not need the Earth Mask or pre-shampoo conditioning step as a standard wash-day routine. If you're using the bars on straight hair, shampoo first, then condition.
