Madam C.J. Walker : Hair Care Queen

Hey Curlies!

In honor of Black History Month, we would like to pay homage to Madam C.J. Walker. Madam C.J. Walker is virtually our Godmother....or so we like to think she is! She built a hair-care & cosmetics empire, and became America's 1st female self-made millionaire. She inspires Tree Naturals so much because she used her knowledge of hair and hair products to develop her own product line. Madam C. J Walker created a formula that turned into her famous pomade which promoted hair growth, had her own beauty school, and built a manufacturing center. She is a pioneer of the modern black hair-care industry!

Madam C.J. Walker left a legacy that's still going strong!

Haircare company Sundial Brands launched a collaboration with Sephora in honor of Walker’s legacy. There are four collections available for purchase at Sephora that are focused on the use of natural ingredients to care for different types of hair!

The National Museum of African American History has an exhibit which honors Madam C.J. Walker. We can't wait to visit!!!

“I had to make my own living and my own opportunity.  But I made it!  Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them.”- Madam C.J. Walker

                                                 Happy Black History Month!
